We’re currently seeking an experienced Team Lead / Information System Security Manager to support our team located in Arlington, VA (Crystal City).
This is a full time employment position joining our team and reporting to a government client site. 

 

What you'll do:
  • Serve as the principal information assurance advisor to the Chief Information System Officer (CISO) and IT Program Manager/System Owner.
  • Collaborate with Chief Information Officer (CIO) office to ensure security/privacy/A&A requirements are met.
  • Lead a team of information assurance / security engineering professionals supporting classified and unclassified networks and applications.
  • Ensure that the security team is conducting audit review, analysis, and reporting.
  • Represent customer at the bi-monthly DOJ Insider Threat Working Group meetings as needed.
  • Contribute content and updates to reports that are submitted to the DOJ attorney general.
  • Work with security engineers to maintain a DOJ Insider Threat Tool that performs more enhanced monitoring. Monitor, log, and collect metadata of all file transfers from our classified and unclassified network. 
  • Coordinate with the Splunk architect and security engineers to ensure all identified events on the network are audited and analyzed.
  • Acts as Incident Response Team (IRT) Lead.
  • Provide technical expertise in the areas of vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, network security, product evaluation, and security implementation.
  • Provide technical evaluations of customer systems and assists with making security improvements.
  • Support continuous monitoring of production systems in accordance with defined security controls.
  • Collaborate with Federal Program Officials to understand operational requirements and ensure real time notification alerts are configured in Splunk.
  • Submit procurement packages and maintenance renewals to the USMS contracting office for security tools.
  • Participate and contribute to the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
What you'll bring:
  • Experience, charisma, and enthusiasm to lead teams, build capabilities, and ability to serve as a trusted advisor
  • Experience with NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, and FISMA.
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP and cloud security
  • Enterprise security and consulting experience
  • Flourishes in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Education 

Completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in an IT related field.

 

Clearance / Suitability 

An active Top Secret security clearance is mandatory for this position.

 

Certifications 
One or more of the following is required: CISSP, CISM, or CISA

 

Years of Experience 

  • Eight (8) years of information technology, cybersecurity experience for a consulting organization.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of management experience.
