The Senior Corporate Communications Specialist is responsible for enhancing employee engagement and alignment through the creation and management of employee communications. This role supports the planning, development, and execution of internal content and campaigns that reflect the credit union’s mission, vision, and values, while fostering a connected and informed employee experience.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of eight years directly related experience required
- Minimum four years of experience in Corporate Communications required
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation and communication skills required
- Strong project management skills, including attention to detail, balancing multiple tasks, speed to completion, and overseeing timely and high-quality work under deadline
- Demonstrated success contributing to communications programs for a mid to large size organization
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint also required
- Proficiency with Canva, and Asana
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Develops, edits, and publishes internal announcements and messaging that reflect the organization’s brand voice, tone, and strategic priorities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the employee intranet, including vendor communications, content updates, and platform enhancements
- Monitor and respond to employee comments, inquiries, and page update requests on the intranet in a timely and professional manner
- Support employee engagement initiatives through planning and execution of virtual and in-person events
- Maintains and executes content and editorial calendars for internal channels utilizing work management tool
- Oversees production and design of content as it relates to internal communications, including blog and newsroom iconography, video creation, and web page design
- Collaborate with departments across the organization to craft staff announcements, FAQs, intranet content, and messaging related to key initiatives and product launches
- Assist in developing agendas and supporting materials for key internal events, including All Hands/Town Hall meetings and the annual Leadership Summit.
- Utilize a range of communication channels, including email, intranet, and digital signage, to enhance reach and engagement
- Research and recommend innovative communication tools and methods to enhance message delivery and employee connection
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to internal communication effectiveness and employee engagement
- Stay informed on corporate and internal communications trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
- Partner with external vendors, agencies, and consultants as directed to support credit union communications objectives
- Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports and insights to guide communication strategy and improvements
- Performs other duties as assigned

The good faith range for this position is $74,000 to $88,000/yearly. This range is an estimate based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
