Position Duties
What You'll Do
As a key member of our Service Delivery team, you'll be on the front lines, ensuring our employees have the tools they need to succeed. This isn't just about plugging things in; it's about providing great service and being an essential part of our tech operations.
- Build & Deploy: Be the go-to person for setting up new desktop computers, monitors, and all the essential peripherals from the ground up.
- Team Up: Collaborate with our computer and network technicians on hardware installations, equipment rollouts, and clean cable management projects.
- Be a Hero: Provide friendly, hands-on support to our users, ensuring their new setups are running smoothly from day one.
- Get Organized: Bring order to chaos by helping organize our IT storage areas, keeping parts and equipment ready for deployment.
- Track Everything: Play a vital role in our asset management by accurately tracking equipment and keeping our inventory database up-to-date.
- Champion Security: Uphold our security-first mindset by following and reinforcing all county and IT policies to keep our network and data safe.
Minimum Qualifications
What You'll Bring to the Table
We're looking for someone with the right mix of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a customer-first attitude.
Your Experience & Education:
- You have an Associate’s degree (or are currently pursuing one) in a tech field like Information Systems or Computer Science, OR
- You have at least one year of hands-on experience in an IT support or service delivery role.
Your Skills & Knowledge:
- A solid working knowledge of desktop hardware, software, and basic networking concepts.
- You're a natural communicator and are comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer service is in your DNA—you’re patient, polite, and genuinely enjoy helping people.
- You’re a fantastic team player who builds positive working relationships with everyone.
- You stay cool under pressure and can handle stressful situations with tact and professionalism.
- You are a sharp and efficient troubleshooter who can logically diagnose and solve problems.
- Reliability and organization are your strong suits; you can follow instructions and juggle multiple tasks without breaking a sweat.
The Must-Haves
- You must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.
- You must be able to pass an FBI criminal background fingerprint check.
- Please note: This is a full-time, on-site position. Remote work is not available for this role.
Physical Requirements
This role is active and hands-on! You should be comfortable with:
- Lifting and carrying equipment like computers and printers, weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Working in a traditional office environment and visiting other department locations.
- Sitting for periods, as well as standing, walking, and reaching for equipment.
