Summary:
As Director of E-Commerce Sales, you will lead strategic relationships with key e-commerce customers across North America, driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction within Mondi’s expanding mailer bag segment. Serving as the primary contact for select accounts, you’ll leverage your deep understanding of e-commerce and account management to deliver tailored solutions and coordinate internal resources for optimal results. This player-coach role combines leadership of a sales team with direct responsibility for strategic customers, reinforcing Mondi’s position as a trusted partner in the packaging industry. While reporting into our Romeoville, IL headquarters, this position offers virtual flexibility with extensive travel.
Your Mission:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for the sale of mailerbag packaging to key customers operating in the e-commerce space, aligned with the company's sales objectives.
- Lead Key Account Managers and Sales Executives to deliver the e-commerce/mailerbag annual business plan.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders at customer organizations, including executives, procurement managers, and packaging leaders.
- Understand the unique needs and challenges of each account and proactively propose innovative packaging solutions to address their requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, design, production, and logistics, to deliver integrated solutions that meet customer expectations.
- Drive sales growth by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities within key accounts, leveraging the full range of our product portfolio and service offerings.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreements with customers to ensure mutual benefit and long-term partnerships.
- Monitor account performance, track sales metrics, and analyze market trends to identify risks and opportunities for revenue enhancement.
- Provide timely and accurate forecasts, reports, and updates on key account activities to senior management.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally, serving as a trusted advisor and problem-solver.
Your Profile:
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with at least 5+ years of B2B sales experience, plus 3+ years of experience in e-commerce sales.
- Sales experience providing solutions into businesses that deliver their product through e-commerce channels.
- 3+ years of proven experience leading a team of at least 2-3 direct reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities, with a customer-centric approach and a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate value.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and change - driving transformation and innovation.
- Experience in the packaging industry preferred but not required.
- Bachelors degree required.
