Senior Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist

The successful person will oversee the activities which ensure our site assets always deliver excellent customer services and drive a reputation that Cellnex Sites are the best in the Industry. They will define and implement new and better ways of working, using new tools and technology to support our rapidly increasing product portfolio and points of customer presence.
This role will inspire delivery partners and key suppliers be able to manage operations at scale: customer focus, ability to inspire and creativity will also be key attributes.
This is a hybrid position based at our welcoming offices in Reading, with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the scheduling and delivery of maintenance activities that ensure asset health compliance across the c.13,100 site estate. This is a combination of Cellnex owned sites and those Cellnex operates for portfolio providers such as Arqiva, BT and National Grid. Typically the annual spend on maintenance activities is c.£10m. The operations across the estate vary in line with the portfolio agreements in place.
- Accountable for the identification, selection and contracting of best in class outsourced maintenance service partners
- Accountable for supplier performance management of outsource maintenance service providers against agreed SLAs and KPIs
- Accountable for the creation and delivery of planned and reactive maintenance programmes for the Cellnex portfolio
- Accountable for the preparation, presentation and settlement of monthly maintenance suppliers Billing submission
- Financial management of a combined Opex/Capex maintenance budget of c.£10m
- Ownership of Maintenance of the Master Site list that governs the maintenance activities that Cellnex undertakes across our site portfolio
- Accountable for large scale capex maintenance programmes such as painting and stay tensioning
- Ownership of the maintenance processes and procedures that govern our outsourced maintenance service providers
- Responsible for developing MI Performance reporting and presentation to internal and external stakeholders
- Line management responsibilities for Cellnex’s maintenance team and outsourced service providers
- Interpretation of complex contract requirements and providing governance to facilitate delivery by external service partners
- Collaborating with other Cellnex departments and stakeholders to enable completion of complex maintenance tasks
- Accountable for continuous Improvement activity to optimize operations
- Accountable for the Management of risks and issues effectively, understand cost v recovery and risk mitigation planning
- Responsible for maintaining a up to date working knowledge of current Health & Safety practices and experience of proactive implementation of save systems of work

Experience
• Extensive experience in managing assets across a geographically disbursed sites in a telecoms or utilities environment
• Managing maintenance activities on active communications equipment networks for TIS, DAS, Small Cells and Private LTE networks
• Understanding of compliance with regards to asset health management
• Experience of designing and /or installing operational site assets such as electrical installations, civil engineering works or rigging
• Managing multiple contractors
