$17.51 - $23.64The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:Excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting, working under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals. Assists with patient care, perform basic nursing procedures, and contribute to the overall patient experience while developing essential skills and competencies for their future nursing career.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists RNs and other healthcare providers in delivering direct patient care. Performs basic nursing tasks such as taking vital signs, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting observations. Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. Provides emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Assists with medical procedures and treatments under the supervision of RNs. Prepares and maintains medical equipment and supplies. Transports patients to different departments as required. Ensures patient rooms and work areas are clean and organized.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Reports any changes in patient conditions to the supervising RN. Documents patient information accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Participates in educational opportunities and training sessions to enhance nursing knowledge and skills. Receives and applies constructive feedback from preceptors and other healthcare professionals. Adheres to hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- must have successfully completed 1 semester of clinical experience in a Nursing Program and remain enrolled in an approved nursing program by successfully completing all courses and remain in good standing at school required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Basic knowledge of nursing principles and practices required
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude required
- Strong organizational and time management skills required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire required
