Caldwell University invites applications for a per diem Art Therapist. Reporting to the Clinical Director, the per diem Art Therapist will provide art therapy services to individuals or groups based on the contract with an off-site agency. The Employer engages the Art Therapist as a per diem employee to provide art therapy services for various agencies off-site. The Art Therapist’s duties include, but are not limited to:
Planning and facilitating art therapy sessions in accordance with agency needs.
Clinically assessing, and evaluating mental, emotional, and/or behavioral needs to engage in problem solving discussions with clients.
Establishing therapeutic relationship with clients and maintaining level of professionalism during course of treatment.
Maintaining flexibility by adjusting interventions to best fit the clients needs
Developing treatment plans for clients.
Collaborating with agency staff to address client goals.
Caseload management and scheduling.
Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethical standards.
Documenting client progress and session outcomes as required.
Attending occasional meetings or training as directed by the Employer.
Meeting the health screening requirements and privacy requirements of agency
Must be licensed in the State of New Jersey as an LPAT. A minimum of two years professional clinical experience is preferred. The Art Therapist’s position is per diem and does not guarantee a set number of hours. The Art Therapist will be contacted based on the Employer’s needs and availability of assignments.
