The Night Supervisor/QMA is responsible for supervising/supporting nursing staff, administering non-parenteral medications and performs treatments according to physicians orders during the overnight shift while providing high-quality care to our residents.

SCHEDULE:

Night Shift: Monday through Friday (11pm - 7am)

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Administer non-parenteral medications and treatments as per physicians’ orders within the QMA scope of practice, including PRN medications upon authorization.
  • Observe, document, and report any adverse reactions or changes in residents’ conditions, taking appropriate measures and notifying the nursing supervisor or Director of Nursing.
  • Assist with the admission and assessment of new residents, following care plans, and adjusting medication schedules as needed.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, perform Accuchecks, address resident toileting needs, and perform restorative nursing procedures.
  • Assist on the floor as needed, providing hands-on support to residents and nursing staff.
  • Accept deliveries and ensure their proper distribution within the company.
  • Occasionally respond to call lights in the independent living area, providing prompt assistance to residents as necessary. 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid QMA license in the state of Indiana.
  • Previous experience in senior care or a related healthcare setting preferred but not required.
  • Previous supervising experience preferred but not required.
  • Successful completion of the Indiana Department of Health’s Insulin Administration Education Module.
  • Completion of in-service requirements for pharmaceuticals and state certification maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
