Schedule Details/Additional Information:

  • Part-time, 3rd shift (1900-0700) - the shift begins at 7pm and ends at 7:30m
  • 24 hours per week (2 12-hour shifts per week)
  • rotation required: every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
  • rotation required: 50% of the holidays yearly)

Pay Range

$19.45 - $29.20

Key Duties: 

  • Patient Management – Admitting, transferring and discharging patients; ensuring accurate documentation and communication throughout the processes. 
  • Record Keeping – Maintaining and updating patient medical records, including electronic health records (EPIC), and compiling charts. 
  • Communication – Serving as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and other departments; answering phone calls; relaying information. 
  • Scheduling – Coordinating appointments, procedures and surgeries for patients. 
  • Clerical Tasks – Performing various typing, filing and data entry projects. 
  • Supply Management – Ordering and organizing supplies for the unit. 
  • Patient Assistance – Helping patients and families by answering questions, giving directions, providing forms and brochures. 
  • Other Duties – May be asked to prepare birth/death certificates, vital sign graphs, or other various unit projects. 


Education Required:

  • High School Graduate (HSD, GED, HSED)

Experience Required:

  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting, demonstrating the ability to perform the following skills:
    • Problem-Solving: Making fast, accurate decisions under pressure.
    • Prioritization: Managing multiple patients and tasks simultaneously.
    • Adaptability: Responding effectively to constantly changing situations.
    • Clear Communication: Conveying information quickly and accurately to patients, families, and the healthcare team.
    • Team Collaboration: Working closely with nurses, physicians, paramedics, and other staff.
    • Patient Education: Explaining information or directions in a way patients can understand.
    • Empathy: Providing compassionate care during stressful or traumatic situations.
    • Stress Management: Staying calm and focused in high-pressure environments.
    • De-escalation: Handling aggressive or distressed patients and families.
    • Efficient Documentation: Accurately recording patient information and treatment.
    • Time Management: Balancing urgent care with administrative duties.
    • Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborating across departments for patient care.
