Now Hiring: PRN Registered Nurse (RN) – Orientation Trainer for Home Health Aides
Location: Lakeland, Florida
Compensation: $35/hour
Schedule: Flexible – You choose your training days
Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse looking for a flexible opportunity to make a meaningful impact? We are currently seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to lead orientation and training sessions for Home Health Aides who will be providing non-clinical support services in clients' homes and care facilities.
Position Overview:
As the RN Trainer, you will conduct orientation sessions for new Home Health Aides, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver quality, non-skilled care including:
- Personal Care (bathing, grooming, hygiene)
- Homemaking (light housekeeping, meal preparation)
- Safe Transferring and Use of Assistive Devices
Training is held twice per week for a minimum of 4 hours per day (10:30 AM – 2:30 PM). You may choose your training days to fit your schedule, with the exception of Mondays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engaging, hands-on training sessions in:
- Vital sign measurement and documentation
- Body mechanics and safe transferring techniques
- Use of assistive devices
- Ensure all care partners are properly oriented to deliver compassionate and competent care
- Provide mentorship and act as a resource for trainees during orientation
Requirements:
- Current RN license in Florida
- Current CPR certification
- Must be eligible to pass a Level 2 background check
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passion for improving the quality of care for seniors
