Responsibilities:The Safety Specialist II develops and enforces safety policies and procedures, conducts training, and leads incident investigations. This role ensures compliance and promotes a proactive safety culture.
- Conduct comprehensive safety audits and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with departments to improve safety practices.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.
- 2–5 years of safety experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other safety regulations.
- Certification (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR) preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking, standing, and climbing in industrial settings.
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Perform inspections in confined spaces or elevated areas.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Wage Range:
$60,300-$90,400/Annually, DOE
