Summary and relationship to the curriculum: Directors of District and School Effectiveness serve as leaders who develop and coordinate assigned education programs in accordance with the district’s mission statement.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinates, implements, evaluates and directs all aspects of assigned
  1. Monitors the implementation of instructional
  1. Coordinates, facilitates and provides professional learning for school and district personnel based upon identified needs and district priorities.
  1. Works cooperatively with stakeholders in support of assigned
  1. Assists in obtaining and coordinating local, state and federal funds and grants for assigned
  1. Approves and submits budget requests as required and manages resources
  1. Oversees and monitors the FTE count for assigned education
  1. Maintains district-level monitoring, record keeping and inventory control over assigned
  1. Maintains professional knowledge and skills by attending professional meetings and conferences.
  1. Organizes and facilitates special programs and district
  1. Supervises and evaluates assigned
  1. Keeps immediate supervisors informed of all facets of assigned
  1. Prepares reports as required.
  1. Analyzes and uses assessment data for the implementation and continuous improvement of assigned programs.
  1. Adheres to local, state and federal policies and procedures.
  2. Performs additional duties as requested.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  1. Education and/or Experience: Master’s degree or higher in education is Five years of professional teaching in a classroom setting preferred. Three years of administrative/supervisory experience required.
  2. Certificate or License Required: Must possess or be eligible for a valid Georgia Professional Teaching certificate in Educational Leadership.
  3. Language Skills: Must have ability to apply teaching and learning principles to support the understanding of learning and behavior, ability to relay technical information to others in understandable terms, and ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Must have ability to write professional correspondences and reports. Must have ability to effectively present and articulate information in one-to-one and group situations to students, parents, school personnel and community agencies.
  4. Mathematical Skills: Must have knowledge and understanding of general statistical procedures. Must have ability to collect and analyze assessment data, predict outcomes, formulate strategies for obtaining a desired result, and report/present findings in print and chart/graph.
  5. Reasoning Ability: Must be able to facilitate the problem solving processes and use deductive Must have ability to synthesize workable options from given facts, and assist in the development of workable solutions. Must effectively organize, plan and prioritize work.
  6. Technical Ability: Must have considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and other job specified technologies.
  7. Customer Service Skills: Must be capable of interacting and communicating effectively with district employees, stakeholders, community members, and the general public using tactful and helpful customer service.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
