How you’ll make an impact:
SiriusXM is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A – Content Licensing to support our music licensing efforts. The right individual will be a key contributor to the FP&A team and aid in developing accurate forecasts, reporting on business metrics, and driving strategic decisions through modeling and analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A – Content Licensing will work cross-functionally and interact with leaders across the company in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain SiriusXM & Pandora's content licensing models to ensure they are both accurate and reflective of changing business needs and deal structures. This includes managing a rolling forecast of music royalties for the SiriusXM and Pandora businesses.
- Support deal negotiations for music licenses by analyzing performance of existing deals, evaluating structures of new deals, and providing key metrics and insights to internal stakeholders.
- Support annual budgeting, long-term planning, and monthly/quarterly outlook processes in order to ensure we are executing toward financial targets.
- Investigate variances between actuals and forecasts to understand trends and potential risks and opportunities. Identify and concisely explain variances to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Perform ad hoc analyses that drive strategic business decisions and advise on key licensing implications. These could include evaluations of strategic opportunities brought forth by the Business Development, Marketing, Product, and Corporate Development teams.
- Support monthly close processes, working closely with Accounting to ensure accurate booking and reporting of royalty accounts.
- Coordinate and work cross-functionally with the content licensing, legal, and accounting teams to ensure all are aligned and informed on key financial and licensing matters.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new financial processes and systems.
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting, including excellent analytical skills and a strong proficiency in financial modeling; experience at a top-tier investment bank or consulting firm a plus.
- Expert level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required. Experience in Anaplan, Essbase, VBA, or SQL a plus.
- Solid understanding of corporate finance and basic accounting required.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Proactive self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately to meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail is a must.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Comfortable working with and articulating financial concepts in a simple and concise manner.
- High standard for integrity required for exposure to confidential company performance, legal contracts and employee information.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or Economics related field required.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $83,000 to $95,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
