What you will do in this position:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Territory Sales Managers, ensuring accountability, growth, and alignment with sales objectives. 
  • Manage sales performance across assigned territories by monitoring KPIs such as new business, premium growth, agency engagement, and loss ratios. 
  • Oversee agency distribution strategies, ensuring appropriate agency mix, improved quoting activity, and increased production across all managed territories. 
  • Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities, address performance gaps, and implement corrective actions where needed. 
  • Coach team members on sales techniques, agency relationship management, and execution of field-level strategies. 
  • Function as liaison between the field and leadership, communicating business priorities, operational updates, and competitive intelligence. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Underwriting, Marketing, Product, and other departments to support field initiatives and agency growth. 
  • Support strategic agency relationships by participating in high-level agency meetings and assisting with negotiation of key commitments. 
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and partner engagements as needed. 
  • Perform other duties, as assigned. 

What you bring to the position:

Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of a High School diploma and pertinent work experience. 
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in the P&C insurance industry, with a focus on personal lines 
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing sales teams or territories; or 10 years’ experience as a Territory Sales Manager.  
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial residential insurance. 
  • Active Florida 2-20 General Lines Insurance License preferred 
  • Professional Insurance Designations such as CPCU, CIC or preferred equivalent. 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of the P & C insurance industry including its products and services. 
  • Demonstrated success in leading sales teams to meet and exceed goals. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on excellent customer service. 
  • Ability to effectively interact with both internal and external business partners. 
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to use data for decision-making, develop sales strategies and coaching. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to make presentations to internal and external groups. 
  • Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently, effectively prioritize schedule and multi-task to meet business objectives. 
  • Proven ability of how to position products against competitors. 
  • Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Valid Driver's license is required, and travel may be up to 40% of the time.
