You will be responsible for driving the results and development of the organization. To be successful in this role, you must have at least the following key competencies:
- Ensure that Agents and Stores operate in full compliance with Section 352 of the USA PATRIOT Act, Regulation E, and the company’s internal Compliance Policies and Procedures.
- Assess each Agent’s understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Consumer Protection regulations, and other applicable federal and state requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the Agent’s Compliance Program and provide tailored AML/BSA and Consumer Protection training to Agent owners, Compliance Officers, and agency personnel.
- Perform in-depth transaction analysis using tools such as Excel (pivot tables), AML Compass, and LexisNexis to identify unusual or suspicious activity and ensure transactions remain within expected patterns for the Agent’s primary corridor.
- Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for any detected suspicious or unusual transactions in accordance with regulatory timelines and internal escalation protocols.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Officer to strengthen the organization, workflow, and oversight framework of the Agent Compliance Review Program.
- Participate as an active team member in supporting departmental growth, contributing to process improvement, and ensuring consistent operational understanding and adherence to procedures.
- Provide ongoing AML/BSA and Consumer Protection training to Agents and their staff, promoting awareness of fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, and reporting obligations.
- Document and maintain accurate Agent Compliance files, ensuring that all records, licenses, and certifications meet company and regulatory requirements.
- Record and deliver final review reports, summarizing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions, as well as following up on outstanding issues until their full resolution.
- Stay current on emerging trends, updates, and regulatory changes related to AML, BSA, and Consumer Protection laws.
