Rehabilitation LVN chez Mission Regional Medical Center

Overview:

We are seeking a Rehabilitation LVN, also referred to as a Rehabilitation Vocational Nurse or Rehab Licensed Vocational Nurse (Rehab LVN) in our Physical Rehabilitation Unit. The Rehab LVN will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients undergoing rehabilitation, assisting them in regaining their physical skills and improving their quality of life. The Rehab LVN will provide direct nursing care to patients in the rehabilitation unit, including medication administration, wound care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.  

 

Shift’s Available:  Days 

Employment Type: Full Time 

Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00am to 7:00pm  

Location: Mission Regional Medical Center - Mission, TX

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care in the rehab unit, including administering medications, performing wound care, and tracking vital signs 

• Partner with other team members to create and execute personalized care plans that support recovery and patient independence 

• Accurately document patient status, treatments, and progress in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements 

• Educate patients and families on the rehabilitation journey, treatment expectations, and strategies for successful care at home 

• Work closely with other nurses and medical staff to ensure seamless, well-coordinated care

Qualifications:

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  

1. Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. IV certification upon hire

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: 

1. Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting preferred.
