Job Summary

Nassau’s 10-week internship program provides an opportunity for college students to learn more about their field of study while gaining valuable hands-on work experience. The program also allows Nassau to build relationships with the top talent of the future.

We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing intern to join our marketing department and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies across web, email, print and social media platforms. As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing and design production teams in all stages of campaigns. You will also gain an understanding of the financial services and insurance sector’s products and target audiences.

This internship will help you acquire new skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad marketing experience that should make you prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help create deliver, edit, and optimize advertisements, marketing materials and website content
  • Support the creative production of digital and print communications campaigns
  • Coordinate and organize email campaigns and measure performance working with Marketing Automation Manager
  • Develop content for social media channels
  • Support Nassau’s agent micro recognition program
  • Collaborate with video and podcast production teams
  • Create recommendations for trade show booth installments and other agent engagement strategies
  • Review outgoing communication pieces for completeness and accuracy of project
  • Ensure that messages are supportive of and consistent with brand
  • Maintain and update databases and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
  • Support logistic planning for events and trips
  • Review traffic analytics and other metrics to measure reach and campaign effectiveness
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Current enrollment in a related BS field (Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Public Relations, FinTech or other general business major preferred)
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
  • Strong creative, innovative, and interpersonal skills
  • Solid verbal and written communications
  • Comfortable leveraging technology
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in working in a fast paced, high growth environment
  • Self-starter that is not afraid to ask questions
  • Ability to drive projects to completion
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Compensation

The combination of compensation, benefits, and an entrepreneurial culture along with related experiences is key to recruiting and retaining talent.  Our compensation system is designed to reward performance, support development and job growth, and compensate individuals relative to their contribution to our organization.  The base pay for this role is: $23/hr.
