POSITION SUMMARY

Support production and engineering teams by performing laboratory testing, preparing and analyzing samples, and ensuring products meet the highest quality standards. Maintaining compliance with customers, industry, and regulatory requirements while helping deliver mission-critical components to our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform laboratory tests on raw metal materials, in-process parts, and finished products, including metallurgical evaluations.
  • Operate and maintain precision lab equipment such as microscopes, hardness testers, spectrometers and tensile test machines.
  • Prepare test samples, conduct analyses, and accurately record data following established procedures
  • Gather and maintain documentation including but not limited to trend charts in support of laboratory tasks.
  • Assist engineers with special projects, failure analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with ISO, AS9100, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Follow strict safety and quality procedures to protect both people and products.
  • Perform set up and adjust laboratory equipment mechanically and electrically.
  • May provide resolution to complex technical issues.
  • May prepare, update, or maintain a calibration database.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
  • May support training initiatives.
  • Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • 1-3 years’ related laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred; aerospace, defense, or medical device industry experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle workflow.
  • Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use lab instruments including precision measurement tools and quality testing methods.
  • Ability to measure and read dimensional tolerance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to view details in close range.
  • Ability to pass eye and color perception exams.

Pay Rate: The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience with the industry, education, geographic location, etc.
