The Accounting Manager leads key accounting operations, overseeing complex financial reporting processes and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role applies advanced accounting expertise to guide the month-end and year-end close processes, manage account analyses, and recommend process improvements. The Accounting Manager provides leadership to the accounting team, mentors staff, and collaborates with other departments on strategic accounting matters.


The Accounting Manager leads key accounting operations, overseeing complex financial reporting processes and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role applies advanced accounting expertise to guide the month-end and year-end close processes, manage account analyses, and recommend process improvements. The Accounting Manager provides leadership to the accounting team, mentors staff, and collaborates with other departments on strategic accounting matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses for significant areas of the business.
  • Direct and guide the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Perform complex financial analyses, variance reviews, and prepare schedules for management, auditors, and regulatory reporting.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support broader business objectives.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements, new policies, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, supporting their development and growth.


  • Essential Functions:
  • Lead the accounting team through month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with policies and deadlines.
  • Apply advanced accounting knowledge and judgment to resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Mentor, coach, and guide team members while overseeing their work and professional growth.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively by meeting deadlines and managing workload efficiently.
  • Maintain professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment


  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage and analyze complex financial data.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to create and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions and influence decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects or initiatives with minimal supervision


  • Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related accounting experience; a master’s degree may substitute for some experience.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.
