About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead the design, development, and execution of HR initiatives that support business objectives and strengthen our company culture. This individual will oversee all aspects of HR operations, compliance, employee relations, and performance management across our growing insurance platform.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic advisor and an operational leader — someone who can establish scalable systems, drive engagement, and ensure a consistent and positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Lead day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, policy development, and HRIS management.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and continuously refine employee handbooks, policies, and processes to promote fairness and consistency.

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with business goals and growth plans.
  • Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management to support expansion and integration efforts.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner and cultural ambassador, ensuring HR practices reinforce company values and performance excellence.

Compensation & Benefits Strategy

  • Oversee compensation frameworks to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Partner with finance and leadership on benefits programs, renewals, and total rewards strategy.
  • Communicate and educate employees on benefits offerings and well-being resources.

Culture & Engagement

  • Champion initiatives that foster inclusion, collaboration, and a strong sense of purpose.
  • Implement programs that drive engagement, recognition, and communication across teams and locations.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees to promote a healthy, high-performing work environment.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership in a multi-location or growth-oriented organization.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable HR processes and programs.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills at all organizational levels.
  • Insurance industry experience or familiarity with agency operations preferred.
