Supervises and coordinates the performance of all work necessary to operate equipment in the powerhouse such as turbines, generators, transformers, power switching equipment, automated controls systems and auxiliary equipment,Performs critical coordination with a variety of outside agencies and special interest groups.,Coordinates operations activities with other project operating elements and maintenance crews, including scheduled outages of any and all project features.,Conducts personnel management.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing duties related to power plant production and related equipment at a multipurpose power project, power generation, power transmission and automated control systems; and 2) Coordinating with other power production facilities, reservoir control centers, transmission control centers, and federal and state regulatory agencies; and 3) Overseeing projects and operations related to hydroelectric power plants. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
