Job Title: Cost Analysis & Estimating Manager 

Department: Commercial 

Reports To: VP of Sales 

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Location: Houston, Tx or Haverhill, MA  

Job Summary 

The Cost Analysis & Estimating Manager is responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies that align with Evantic’s financial and operational goals. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to ensure accurate cost modeling and price setting for new and existing products. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, a deep understanding of manufacturing cost drivers, and a strategic mindset to support profitability and competitiveness in the market. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop, implement, and manage pricing strategies based on cost analysis, market research, and business objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create and maintain accurate cost models and margin analysis tools.
  • Lead pricing reviews and provide recommendations to support customer quotes, bids, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor and analyze pricing performance, customer trends, and competitive activity.
  • Support new product introductions with pricing models based on material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations to validate standard costs and ensure alignment with financial forecasts.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for pricing decisions and adjustments.
  • Provide leadership on continuous improvement efforts related to pricing and cost transparency.
  • Train and support commercial and operations teams on pricing tools and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, cost analysis, or financial planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost structures, and ERP systems (e.g., Macola, JobBoss, Syspro, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience building financial models.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate pricing strategies effectively.
  • High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in the industrial or engineered products sector.
  • MBA or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Experience with pricing software or business intelligence tools.
  • Prior experience in high mix low volume contract manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of CNC Machining, Thermoforming, Compression and Injection molding of plastic materials.

Work Environment 

This role operates in a professional office setting with regular collaboration across manufacturing plant operations. Occasional travel to Evantic facilities or customer sites may be required. The role requires regular use of standard office equipment and exposure to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
