Position: Promotions Coordinator. Hourly: $18.92/hour/Negotiable Full-time. Location: Gaming Division. Reports to: Promotions Manager
In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest standards of customer service are maintained.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
- Report to work reliably and promptly.
- Maintain a clean, well-groomed, and professional appearance.
- Assist in analyzing results of casino promotions and suggest improvements.
- Access and update promotion systems as necessary.
- Assist in proofing direct mail and collateral for accuracy.
- Coordinate purchasing process for promotional prizes.
- Disseminate information about promotions to appropriate departments.
- Resolve guest inquiries via phone, letter, and email.
- Assist in the smooth operation of promotional activities, including acting as an emcee.
- Coordinate paperwork for promotional events.
- Work closely with support departments involved in event execution.
- Provide excellent guest service and work flexible hours.
- Adhere to all established rules, regulations, and policies.
- Maintain compliance with workplace policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
- One (1) year of experience in marketing/advertising or event promotions preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional attitude and demeanor.
- Knowledge of inventory and control systems.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work with diverse personalities and provide a positive attitude.
- Willingness to enhance self-development and adapt to change.
- Must be willing to travel. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin's driver's license within 30 days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver's license. Must meet and maintain the eligibility to operate a personal or tribal vehicle under the driver acceptability guidelines as established by Mohican Insurance.
Work Conditions:
- Frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required.
- Work in a casino setting with noise and cigarette smoke.
- Evening and weekend work may be required.
- Excellent personal hygiene required.
- Smoke-free work environment with varied noise levels.
