Core Responsibilities:
- Assist internal and external customers with parts questions, checking stock availability and ordering parts from vendors or other outside sources.
- Order parts from suppliers based on Service Department and customer requests, maintaining contact with all involved parties regarding parts order status.
- Interact with the Service Department to fulfill parts needs for vehicle repairs and service.
- Ensure internal requests for parts are billed correctly on the repair order.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Maintain the appearance of the parts counter and other work areas, and assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of parts inventory areas.
- Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or other materials that require immediate attention.
- Participate in annual inventory counts.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have a minimum 1 year GM/Isuzu Parts Catalog experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Technology proficient including the use of Microsoft Office Suite, along with the ability to adapt to various dealership software.
- Good time management, organization and multitasking abilities.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 25 lbs.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Hours and Work Environment:
Hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and every third Saturday from 7:30am-5pm. This is an onsite role working indoors at the parts counter and in the parts warehouse. The front parts counter is air-conditioned, while the parts warehouse is equipped with a swamp cooler for climate control.
