Summary
Zingerman’s Cornman Farms is seeking a detail-driven, organized and upbeat Packaging Specialist to lead the assembly of our Thanksgiving meal orders. This role ensures every guest receives the exact meal they ordered—beautifully packed, labeled, and ready to enjoy.
As the bridge between our kitchen and front-of-house teams, you’ll coordinate what needs to be packed, track progress, communicate updates, and maintain an organized, efficient packaging operation. You’ll also lead a small crew of packers, keeping the workflow smooth, the space tidy, and morale high.
Compensation
This position pays $18 per hour plus tips.
This is a temporary position running from November 19–25, 2025,
These are the required shifts:
- Wednesday, November 19 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Thursday, November 20 1 p.m.-9 p.m.
- Friday, November 21 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Saturday, November 22 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Sunday, November 23 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Monday, November 24 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 25 11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, November 26 10:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.
Reports to: Managing Partners
The main role of this position is to ensure that all Thanksgiving To-Go products are packaged, labeled, and stored safely and accurately. Responsibilities include:
- Oversee all packaging operations for Thanksgiving meals, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Communicate with the kitchen throughout the week to confirm quantities, timing, and any menu adjustments.
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure each order is complete, labeled correctly, and ready for guest pickup.
- Lead a small team of seasonal packers—assigning tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring everyone stays on pace.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Track progress and proactively alert the kitchen or front-of-house of any shortages, substitutions, or errors.
- Double-check all orders before they leave the packing area to guarantee accuracy.

- Comfort working in a kitchen-adjacent setting with some lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Previous experience in food service, event operations, or logistics is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Stooping, Kneeling, and Crouching: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
- Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
- Near Vision: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
- Lifting: Raising or lowering an object, at least 50 lbs, from one level to another (includes upward pulling).
- Carrying: Transporting an object, up to 65 lbs, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder.
- Standing: Remaining on one's feet in an upright position at a workstation without moving about for an extended period of time.
- Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
