Description
The Customer Service Sales Associate provides exceptional support to JW Winco’s distribution network and key accounts. This role is responsible for processing customer orders, coordinating after-order services, and assisting the sales team with quotations, lead follow-up, and product inquiries. The position requires strong communication skills and a high volume of interaction with customers by phone and email on a daily basis.
Requirements
Order Processing
- Enter customer orders accurately into the Prophet 21 (P21) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Process small, large, and repeat orders efficiently.
- Set up and maintain customer account information in the database.
After-Order Services
- Communicate with customers regularly by phone and email to provide timely updates on order status and delivery.
- Expedite orders and coordinate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and on-time shipment.
- Research and resolve customer complaints, returns, and product issues with professionalism and attention to detail.
Sales Support
- Prepare and type customer quotations.
- Support sales by forwarding customer leads and assisting with follow-up.
- Provide quotations and product information to customers by phone and email.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to confirm details such as pricing, product availability, and delivery timelines.
- Assist with customer requests and documentation as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or sales support, with frequent phone and email communication.
- Proficiency with Windows-based programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Prophet 21 (P21) or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred.
- Familiarity with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) preferred.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional phone presence.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with metric and standard measurement systems.
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and proportions.
