About the role
Are you an experienced medical professional with a passion for leadership and scientific excellence? We’re looking for a Medical Lead to drive medical strategy, engage with healthcare professionals, and provide technical expertise to support our respiratory portfolio.
As a Medical Lead, you’ll bring medical leadership and technical expertise to the Medical Affairs team and other internal business partners. You’ll play a key role in developing medical strategies, engaging with external experts, and ensuring governance controls that enhance GSK’s reputation.
Your role will be varied and will include:
- Develop and execute medical strategies and tactics to support GSK’s business objectives.
- Act as a key liaison with external experts, healthcare professionals, and scientific researchers, engaging in scientific exchange and supporting clinical trial activities.
- Provide medical and technical expertise for scientific submissions, promotional materials, and marketing activities.
- Lead medical-led education initiatives for specialist audiences, leveraging face-to-face and digital channels.
- Represent GSK at medical and scientific conferences, fostering robust and transparent scientific dialogue.
- Drive innovation, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Medical Affairs team.
About you
We’re looking for someone with strong leadership skills, scientific expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
You’ll need:
- Degree in Science, Pharmacy, or Medicine. A postgraduate degree in a related field will be highly regarded.
- Proven ability to lead medical projects and engage with healthcare professionals and external experts.
- Experience in respiratory therapeutic areas is preferred.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to excel in matrix management.
- Strong critical appraisal and interpretation of data, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Australian medical practice, MA code requirements, and local regulatory and reimbursement environments.
