Esse Health is seeking a full-time Senior Systems Engineer.
Summary:
The Senior Systems Engineer is the lead technical role for all things related to the system admin and engineers. This position is responsible for designing, planning, developing, supporting, and maintenance of the organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software. Analyzes, develops, modifies, tests, and maintains the system and software required for daily business and infrastructure. Makes updates to system related installation documentation. Must be independent and collaborative in nature. Must be able to contribute to the complex aspects of all projects. Uses knowledge of systems in a LAN/WAN environment to help design and install internal and external systems. Tests and evaluates systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Think critically – Use logic and analysis to identify the potential enhancements and flaws in security measures in high security and complex HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI environment
- Make decisions and resolve problems without assistance – Seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practice with SCCM, VMware, MDM, MFA, XenServer, XenApp, SharePoint, ShareFile, Exchange O365 onsite and cloud, Veeam Backup and Recovery, EMC and Pure SAN, EMC Data Domains, HP Servers, Citrix UCS blade servers, and hardware/software security best practices.
- Responsible for all hardware and software upgrades relating to Windows OS’s, SAN, Exchange, Citrix and VMware.
- Requires expert knowledge of Active Directory as well as Group Policy, DFS, DNS, and Windows Clustering.
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Azure and Amazon cloud connectors and integration.
- Demonstrate leadership and foster collaborative team approach – interact well with front line and management providing consultation and expert advice on systems security related topics.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships; work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Must have experience with multiple site company branches and centralized data repository complexities.
- Must be able to use scripting and programing to accomplish server and complex environment maintenance.
- Knowledge and implementation of SQL servers and “Always On” clustering required.
- Ability to interface with in-depth LAN/WAN topology, EIGRP, Cisco Router/Switch, and Firewall knowledge for success of combined projects with network team members.
- Must have event and audit logging experience as part of high security environment.
- Consulting or Managed Service Provider background preferred.
Education and Experience
- Licensure/Certification: ITIL and Agile background desired
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred or equitant degree, but we will consider candidates with a Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent degree with ample experience
- Years of Experience: Over ten years of experience is required.
