Full-Time Maintenance Apprentice chez Hawaiian Building Maintenance

We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Apprentice position to repair commercial buildings. Candidates must pass background check, reliable vehicle, have basic knowledge of hand tools, basic mathematics and willingness to learn. Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, climb, bend for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 50lbs up to 75lbs up several stairs, walk path, etc. 

Maintenance Apprentice Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
• Light experience with painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical and grounds maintenance.
• Good customer service skills to interact with property managers, vendors, customers, etc.
• Able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 50lbs up to 75lbs, be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, walk up/down stairs and climb a ladder.
• Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary.
• Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by supervisor 
• Create purchase order
• Working alongside with the Maintenance team to meet and exceed customer needs
• On the job training towards HBM Maintenance Technician position

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must pass background check
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Basic preventative maintenance skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Good communication skills
• Able to read, write and respond to text messages
• Customer service oriented 
• Keep accurate records of time cards, checkout forms, and any job related paperwork. 
• Willingness to learn

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Compensation: $18.87/per hour
