- Monitor the trafficking process for all equipment that enters or leaves the yard
- Check in/Check out of equipment accurately and inspect the condition providing pictures and accurate documentation
- Participate in the preparation of equipment for rental, sale, and/or demo
- Responsible for all equipment entering the yard until transferred to service
- Support the service department, as needed
- Safe operation of all equipment located on the yard
- Wash the exterior and interior of equipment to as new condition
- Utilize technology to document machine condition, communicate with internal and external customers via email and text, and utilize systems to track working times
- Note customer damage and provide repair estimate based on experience and ability to utilize resources
- Ensure the yard is organized, clean and presentable at all times, informing management of any related concerns
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced and busy environment
- Must be able to communicate and understand English
- Strong customer service skills
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to move equipment around the yard
- Ability to manage time and multi-task with minimal supervision
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Basic computer skills
- Forklift certification, training provided by RoadBuilders
- Capable of pushing, pulling, carrying, or lifting 60lbs
- Able to climb stairs, steps, ladders, mount and dismount equipment
- Able to work in all types of weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, and dirt)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Forklift certification is a plus
