REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors Degree;
  • Experience in employee benefits administration and risk management;
  • Experience with insurance procedures, procurement process, school district business services and/or risk management.

 

PREFERRED:

  • Masters Degree;
  • Teaching Experience
  • Any professional certificates or, license or, course certified completion as it relates to insurance, risk management and policy.

The Director is responsible for overseeing all employee benefit programs and protecting District assets through efficient and cost-effective benefit, insurance, and loss control programs. The Director will conduct research, and analyze all insurance programs and retirement programs and/or renewals, including self-funded insurance programs, and retirement programs (i.e. Social Security, Teacher Retirement System [TRS]).  The Director will manage and ensure compliance of the District's 403 (b) Plan Document in accordance with state and federal laws. The Director manages third-party administrators, benefit consultants, insurance brokers, and agents to ensure alignment with industry standards and contractual obligations. In addition, the Director provides leadership in the review, development, and implementation of all District policies to ensure consistency with Board policy, legal requirements, and best practices.
