The HVAC Territory Sales Manager contributes to company growth and profitability by managing customer accounts in an assigned geographic territory or market segment. The Territory Manager is responsible for prospecting for new accounts and growing existing accounts by uncovering additional sales opportunities. This position supports Rheem Northeast Distribution, MCN Distributors and is located in Bohemia, NY. This is a field-based position and the successful candidate must live within the territory of the position.
Responsibilities
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and specific objectives related to assigned Territory
- Establish and maintain productive and professional relationships with key personnel in
assigned customer accounts. - Proactively assess and addresses customer needs on an ongoing basis
- Operate as the lead point of contact for all sales matters specific to assigned accounts.
- Prospect for new accounts and manage the onboarding process for newly assigned accounts.
- Identify sales and networking opportunities, including calling on prospects and converting them
into new accounts. - Communicate approved promotional plans to assigned customer accounts; aid in management of
the programs for assigned accounts. - Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of
the distribution team. - Communicate to Upper Management expected and unexpected increases or decreases in demand
for products required by assigned accounts - Support non-assigned customer accounts on an occasional and limited basis when required.
- Act as the company representative to organizations associated with assigned Territory
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, or related field. Technical Diploma in HVACR or equivalent experience in similar job function or industry may be considered in supplement of Bachelors Degree.
- 0-3 years of experience in similar position, such as product/applications experience required
- Wholesale distribution experience preferred.
- Superior customer service, effective listening, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation.
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
- Technical expertise and knowledge of company products
- Problem-solving and analytical ability
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask.
- Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
- Team player who works productively with wide range of people
The base salary pay scale for this position is $40,000 - $100,000. This position will earn a bi-monthly base salary based on experience. In addition, you will be eligible for uncapped commission based on a percentage of gross margin. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
