What You Do  

  • Prospects and builds a network for new business opportunities and referrals.
  • Develops sales leads within the territory and follows up as needed identifying decision-makers amongst the targeted leads to start the sales process.
  • Creates account strategy within an assigned territory to increase sales.
  • Partners with Contract leadership to develop distribution strategies across the business channel, i.e., hospitality, multi-family, senior living, etc. 
  • Exhibits goal-oriented action relative to sales plan and close rate within the assigned territory.
  • Attends sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on the market situation in assigned territory.
  • Manages to the deadlines of current projects.
  • Coordinates with customer service for status on orders from related departments to ensure timely delivery to clients.
  • Uses CRM to maintain records of all sales calls including account leads, contact orders, quotes, and pipeline.
  • Provides updates and regular reports to Vice President of Sales – Contract.
  • Attends industry conferences, trade shows, virtual events, etc. to develop industry expertise and to build a network as well as staying on top of industry trends.

What You Bring 

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university preferred.
  • Three to four years’ proven experience in sales, preferably in high end furniture, apparel or other home furnishing or luxury goods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and drive for results.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities and versed in cold-calling sales techniques.
  • Exceptional negotiating skills and high energy “can do!” attitude.
  • Demonstrated sales track record with high ratio of closing conversions.
