About the Position

Currently, we are seeking an experienced full-time Embroidery Digitizer to develop designs for resort and retail markets from our facility in Comstock Park, Michigan (Near the corner of 6 Mile and Alpine). You will partner with the embroidery and art departments to create and digitize our new product designs using the digitizing software, Punto. If you love figuring out how to make an art concept into a beautiful piece of embroidery, then this is the job for you!

Essential Duties:

• Work with Adobe Illustrator and Punto to create stitch files from Illustrator or Photoshop files.
• Manipulate digitized files to make them production ready for embroidery.
• Cut Appliques and sew out samples for approval.
• Assist with Production and other projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience digitizing graphics for commercial embroidery, experience using Punto is a plus.
• Ability to design and manipulate vector files using Adobe Illustrator.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
• Ability to operate and maintain embroidery equipment; trouble-shoot basic issues is a plus.
• Must have an artistic eye for detail and be able to offer suggestions in the sew out process for improved results.
• Ability to work in a fast-pace, deadline-driven, multi-project environment.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Professional conduct with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to accept suggestions and revisions easily and professionally.
• Excellent Work History.
• Other acceptable digitizing software include Punto, Wilcom, Melco, Pulse Microsystems, Hatch Digitizer or other professional software.
