You Can Expect To:
As the HR & Payroll/Benefits Specialist at Tandy, you’ll support over 500 employees across the U.S., Canada, and Spain, working closely with managers and the HR team on day-to-day payroll and benefits operations. This role offers hands-on experience across core HR functions and is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing, including preparation, reconciliation, and tax compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and internal control
- Assist and support the onboarding and new hire process
- Perform data entry in HRIS; support various HR functions such as employee changes, terminations, etc.
- Prepare and deliver reports on HR metrics and payroll activity
- Support various HR & payroll audits and reconciliations
- A high degree of discretion, professional ethics, and judgment in confidential matters and information
- Assist with all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ year of payroll/HR (multi-state)/benefits administration experience in a similar role, preferred
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP experience preferred)
- Solid business judgment and maturity in navigating critical situations
- Dependability, professionalism, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Legally authorized to work for any company in the United States without sponsorship
