About the Role

A leading Defence innovation initiative is seeking experienced professionals to support its mission-driven technology transformation efforts. These roles are embedded within a high-impact program focused on rapidly converting disruptive technologies into operational capabilities that address Australia’s most urgent strategic challenges. This is a rare opportunity to help accelerate the future of Defence.

You’ll join a national team working across complex Defence systems, contributing to transformative projects in locations including Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Newcastle.

What you will be involved in

• Contributing to areas such as Systems Engineering, Test & Evaluation, Mission Engineering Analysis, Configuration Management, Cyber Security and Logistics Management
• Supporting a mission-based approach to innovation through agile and flexible delivery
• Collaborating with Defence, industry, and academia to adapt, test, and acquire emerging technologies
• Producing reports and artefacts using ASCA’s software applications and business systems
• Ensuring all work is conducted within Defence environments and aligned with Defence policy and guidance
• Participating in short-term, high-impact projects that uncover and progress innovative solutions

What we would like from you

• Highly experienced in the Defence industry, with a minimum of an NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to innovation and delivering outcomes that support national security
• Experience working within Defence or complex technical environments
