About the Role:
We have a full-time opportunity working on-site at our RiverBend Clinic in Springfield OR. The position has an expectation of 32-40hrs per week and we are proud to offer a great benefits package. Our recruiting pay range for a Medical Assistant (non-certified) is $19.59 - $23.61 and a Certified Medical Assistant is $21.60 - $26.03.
What will you do:
- Prepares patient for examinations, procedures, and treatments by obtaining vital signs; obtaining, evaluating, and recording patient history; and updating medication and immunization records.
- Prepares and maintains examination and treatment areas, ensuring adequate inventories of supplies and equipment to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Assists with examinations, procedures, and treatments. Prepare and administer injections and immunizations as directed by physician/provider.
- Receives, organizes, prioritizes, stores, and maintains transmittable information utilizing electronic technology.
- Collects and process specimens, screen and follow up on test results. Performs CLIA-waived tests.
- Performs instrument sterilization.
- Assists with maintaining medical supplies and onsite inventory.
- Maintains and updates patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Requirements
What do you need to bring to the role:
- Education/Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical support experience with experience in obtaining accurate patient vitals, medical injections, and assisting with procedures/NSTs OR a Medical Assistant Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA required.
