Introduction:

This role will be responsible for providing paralegal support to the Global Ethics and Compliance team, along with managing several legal department operational tasks and projects. The candidate must hold the highest degree of personal and professional integrity and ethics, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.  

Essential Responsibilities:  

  • Assists in all aspects of the Compliance program, including responding to employee inquiries; assisting with administration of third-party risk screening and remediation (including reviewing and clearing screening and questionnaire results, coordination with stakeholders on required responses, and assistance with program updates, software changes and/or integrations".   

  • Act as a direct contact for and/or interact with US and non-US employees on day-to-day Code of Conduct questions 

  • Facilitate and track company code of conduct training completion 

  • Develop innovative approaches to using technology to maximizing the effectiveness of the Compliance program 

  • Prioritize regular workload, special tasks, and concurrent projects, allocating time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and efficiently within an established time frame 

  • Support legal department operations by assisting with e-billing and matter management, review of invoices and related documentation, Track outstanding invoices, and follow-up on invoice approvals, research and respond to inquiries regarding billing issues and problems, lead monthly accruals process, and manage and interface with customers and vendors related to internal invoicing and billing guidelines 

  • Provide paralegal support to the broader legal team on litigation and special projects 

  • File, maintain, and track confidential legal documents.  

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law with a minimum 2 years of legal assistant, paralegal, trade compliance or relevant work experience. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Advanced skills and experience with Google and MS Office Applications.  

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.  Strong, positive interpersonal skills with a willingness to help and seek out work. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of organization and task tracking.    

  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task. 

  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality. 

  • Ability to work with all levels of management. 

  • Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision. 

  • Experience working with ORACLE or other enterprise-level database applications 

  • Experience working with a Legal eBilling platform  

  • Experience with event planning, multi-media communications 

  • Prior experience in high-tech, fast-paced global organization.
