Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the functional learning academies for Global Business Operations (GBO) and the India market, adapting to evolving business priorities while achieving agreed upskilling targets in collaboration with Business and HR teams.
- Define and advise on the technical training and onboarding strategy for GBO, driving global adoption of their License to Operate certifications.
- Provide strategic direction for learning and development within global transformation programs in GBO, focusing on future skilling and sustainability, supporting the evolution of the shared services function that Diageo is championing.
- Collaborate with the India business to offer advisory support in Learning, Leadership, and Inclusion initiatives, considering cultural nuances while ensuring alignment with global learning and inclusion strategies.
- Utilize analysis and insights to define strategy in core and emerging skill areas for all learning and enablement programs—both internal and external. This includes developing goals, objectives, targets, and key performance metrics.
- Develop a long-term vision that articulates how skill maturity influences business performance both internally and externally, positioning the organization as innovative, cutting-edge, and impactful. Use analysis to identify performance needs rather than training needs, focusing on essential actions that drive results.
- Harness internal/external data to gain insights into emerging future-focused critical skills. Understand required skills alongside transition states for skill progression and maturity.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to establish targets related to learners' experiences such as simplicity, usefulness, relevance, skill adoption, and application.
- Serve as the Global Learning and Inclusion point of contact for GBO and India. Engage stakeholders by influencing them to shape a coherent global-local narrative that aligns priorities while clarifying roles and accountabilities.
- Coordinate resources from Centers of Excellence (CoE), learning operations, markets/functions, and external sources to ensure comprehensive support for designated regions or functions. This includes aiding GBO in preparing and readying for the integration of future service placements into operations.
Experience / skills required:
- Proficient and experienced in leading Learning & Development teams, with demonstrated expertise in applying established instructional design and delivery methodologies such as ADDIE.
- Skilled in designing, developing, and implementing skills taxonomies, frameworks, and strategies to assess skill levels and progression.
- Strong relationship-building abilities coupled with performance consulting expertise. Has served as an expert and trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, responsible for organizational diagnosis to address business-critical skill deficits (both current and emerging).
- Proven track record in strategic thinking and planning with a focus on both external and internal considerations.
- Ability to prioritize effectively while maintaining agility in action.
