Chen. Responsibilities will include animal colony maintenance, including genotyping, weaning, and health checks; documenting tumor incidence and size; harvesting tissues and collecting blood samples from animals; administering drugs to animals (such as through intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, or oral gavage); subcutaneous tumor implantation procedures; and data analysis and interpretation.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe candidate must adhere to proper safety guidelines and animal welfare standards. The candidate will also be expected to lead his/her own small scientific project, which will require organized laboratory records, documentation of experimental results, and preparation of these results for publication. The candidate will also harvest animal-derived tissues and perform molecular characterization of these tissues, including analysis of DNA, RNA, or protein expression. The candidate will maintain the laboratory’s animal-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and train new members in these protocols.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
