Qualification Requirements
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in Information Technology.
- Previous experience with installing, configuring, trouble-shooting and supporting Windows Operating Systems and other enterprise software applications required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Active Directory/Group Policy/Visual Basic Scripting required.
- Experience with Cisco VoIP phone system solutions and technologies required.
- Knowledge of SQL Relational Database concepts required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Exchange Server and all Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in Crystal Reports and vSphere preferred. Knowledge of SharePoint required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Understands and is committed to the hospice philosophy.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Supports LANs, WANs, network segments, internet, and intranet.
- Maintains integrity of the network, server development, and security of the environment.
- Maintains network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, VoIP phone system, auditing systems, and IPS/IDS deployments.
- Maintains and performs EMR remote database extractions.
- Maintains and monitors anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions to all PC/laptop/netbook and server systems.
- Provides technical expertise in delivering and supporting hospice applications including but not limited to: Netsmart MyUnity (including Mobile Application) Deyta, Dr. First, Company Mileage, Qualis, Optum, and RSA Authentication.
- Maintains custom SQL reports and deliverables as requested.
- Stays up to date on new and existing technologies and serves as a resource to other employees. Designs, implements, and supports advanced and diverse technical solutions. Builds cost analysis reports for organization equipment/software.
- Maintains inventory of agency IT equipment including desktop computers, laptops, iPads, cell phones, etc.
- Assists with IT project management
- Assists with IT department budget planning
- Familiarity with the HIPAA Security and HiTech Act requirements.
- Identifies and implements process improvements for all IT processes.
- Assists in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for IT Department.
- Participates in the department’s on-call rotation schedule for after hours and weekends.
- Responsible to learn and utilize technology made available by the agency to increase efficiency, communication and performance of duties.
- Attends staff meetings and completes all mandatory training.
- Holds in strictest confidence all patient information and discloses information and data only to persons authorized by Hospice.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
