The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Lucky Friday Administration and Human Resources departments, as well as other departments as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• General administrative duties including answering phones, picking up and distributing mail, assisting with site lunches and employee relations events.
• Assist the Human Resources department including coordinating quarterly drug screening, tracking policy and procedure updates, filing, tracking performance appraisals, prepare new hire packetsetc.
• Assist with Accounts Payable processing. Fill in for AP Administrator in her absence.
• Assist with hourly payroll processing and timecard entry.
• Performs HRIS data entry for hourly employees, including updating personal information, benefits elections, dependents, and beneficiaries.
• Answers routine AP, payroll and HR related questions.
• Processes salaried employee timesheets, including collecting and tracking timesheets, and submitting them to corporate HR. Tracks salaried employee vacation and personal holiday time off, including updating leave spreadsheet semi-monthly.
• Organizes and maintains hourly employee files, including creating files for new employees, purging terminated employees files, scanning terminated employees files, and daily filing of documents.
• Maintains Lucky Friday phone directory, updating and distributing as needed.
• Assists other departments with administrative tasks when requested – i.e. coordinating lunches for meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prior Administrative Assistant/Office Assistant experience preferred.
Must be able to work independently, as well as a member of a team.
Must be self-motivated.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
