Work in hatchery setting performing assigned job duties for maintaining egg receipts, egg inventory, preparing egg sets. Completing and compiling all necessary records and reports into Oracle system. Follow all established safety and operational SOPs to achieve goals on hatch, HOF, early mortality and budgets. The days and hours for this position are: Monday (3PM - 2AM), Wednesday (3AM - 2PM), Thursday (3PM - 2AM) and Saturday (3AM - 2PM).

Position responsibilities include: 

  • Unload egg trucks and break down racks of eggs
  • Mark eggs with proper machine and set numbers 
  • Wash and disinfect egg trailers 
  • Load trailers back with clean egg racks
  • Complete accurate documentation.
  • All other duties assigned by hatchery management 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be able to stand on concrete surfaces for long periods of time
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force – egg racks are 1,200 lbs on wheels
  • Must have high school diploma or minimum 2 years in a processing environment
  • Must have the ability to read and write in English
  • Must be able to perform in an environment with temperatures ranging from 65 to 75 degrees  
  • Must have the ability to complete tasks with limited supervision
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
