National Director of Event Fundraising 

Ducks Unlimited National Headquarters - Memphis, TN 

 

POSITION: Ducks Unlimited has an opening for the National Director of Event Fundraising. Position will start as soon as possible.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION: National Director of Event Fundraising duties and responsibilities encompass the management of event fundraising field staff within the organization including:

  • Managing, coaching, training and selecting Directors of Fundraising & Volunteer Relations.
  • Developing a cohesive fundraising team of senior staff and volunteers.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Conservation, Corporate Relations, Public Policy, Communications and Major Gift staff.
  • Working with staff and volunteers to develop national objectives to foster growth and improvement in the DU event system.
  • Serving on the event fundraising staff leadership team in the development of strategies, plans, and policies related to event fundraising and other aspects of DU business.
  • Working closely with senior volunteers to ensure continuity and consistency between staff and volunteer leadership.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of successful fundraising experience and a minimum of a four-year degree from an accredited university. Candidates should be proficient in standard computer programs and have experience setting budgets and conducting analytical analyses. Management experience is a plus, especially experience managing geographically dispersed teams.

Candidates must be willing to work hours that extend outside of the typical workday and workweek throughout the year. Significant overnight travel is required.

Candidates must reside in or relocate to the Memphis, TN area. This position will work in DU’s National Headquarters building.
