What You Should Know About the Accounting Coordinator Role:
- Hours are 8:00 – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday
- May require an adjustment of schedule to complete assignments and workload.
- Will be based in the Little Rock office as a hybrid employee. Three days in the office, two remote days.
- In this unique setting, daily interactions with a diverse clientele, including hospital staff, physicians are expected.
Job Summary:
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for general ledger duties for Jefferson Regional and its subsidiaries. This position also supervises key areas as specified by the Controller. This role is expected to have a strong working knowledge of basic accounting concepts as well as an analytical mind-set. The Accounting Coordinator ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, and providing accurate and timely financial reports.
Facilities Team Lead Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent: business, Finance or Accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant preferred.
- Two to three years’ experience in healthcare finance or accounting is preferred.
- Hands on experience with PC-based spreadsheets and financial accounting/reporting systems is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and hospital information systems ideal.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle, cost accounting, and regulatory frameworks a plus.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Must be flexible and have the ability to interact with many individuals from the various disciplines found within a large healthcare organization.
- Must be able to handle confidential material with integrity.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is required as well as good communication skills.
- Must be able to deal professionally and courteously with public and employees.
- Must be able to handle stressful conditions, meet required deadlines and perform multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
