Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose
In this position you will perform facility maintenance operations and complete repairs on equipment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance around the building
- Repair broken or leaking plumbing and restore full use of water fixtures
- Maintain the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
- Support electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electro/mechanical systems to include repair of machinery and equipment.
- Analyze equipment failures, determine causes and make necessary adjustment and repairs
- Apply preventative measures to the building and equipment to reduce the risk of future problems
- Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 2-5 years of related experience and/or training
- Intermediate level electrical wiring experience at a minimum 120/220/480 volt circuits
- Knowledge of HVAC systems to include filters
- Experience in industrial plumbing
- Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as assigned
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written procedures, etc., complete documentation
- Must meet the following near vision requirements: 20/25 (Snellen) at 16” (42 cm) ± 1” (2.54 cm) or equivalent in at least one eye, natural or corrected and capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors used in the process involved
