Business Job Title:  Sr Director, Global Logistics & Distribution

Job Summary:

Join our Broan-NuTone team of Entrepreneurs as Director, NA Distribution and Transportation as we continue our mission for Better Quality of Air, Better Quality of Life! 

In this role you will use your supply chain expertise to make a critical impact on the business, by developing and executing Broan-NuTone’s distribution & logistics strategy.  Focus of the role includes strategy & KPI alignment, North American logistics & freight optimization, trade and environmental compliance, and international order fulfillment, while leading a team responsible for warehousing and distribution.  The ideal candidate is a confident and organized problem-solver that will lead the team through data driven decision making, exceed customer expectations, meet revenue targets, increase company profitability and reduce operational costs while driving change to improve logistics processes and optimize service levels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all plant and warehouse safety procedures and guidelines. Coordinate/execute plant and warehouse safety and job training requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in our warehousing, distribution, and transportation departments.
  • Ownership of the handling, storage, and distribution to the end consumer, managing high-volume North American Distribution Centers.
  • Design and implement North American distribution strategies to support our international markets.
  • Coach and develop leaders, managers, and team members to meet this division’s strategic goals and objectives, including identifying training and development needs.
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators to ensure the improvement and efficiency of the Distribution operations.
  • Develop relationships with key partners, negotiate rates and contracts as needed, and help develop service metrics with all carriers and outsourced partners. Communicate on a regular basis the cost, service, and quality information to the organization.
  • Identify variances and coordinate distribution management reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage customers’ OTD/OTC scorecard; drive improvements based on results to meet customer requirements & satisfaction.
  • Understand all import/export requirements as needed; understand U.S. customs requirements, including USMCA, and manage relationships with customs brokers.
  • Manage and provide oversight of the Trade and Environmental Compliance team (Reach, RoHS, Prop 65, Buy American Act, etc.). Ensure C-TPAT Certification standards are maintained.
  • Set strategy to select and manage all 3PL partnerships. Ensure compliance with all D.O.T. Hazardous Material regulations.
  • Create and foster a high-performance culture, focused on engagement, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and a sense of urgency.
  • Plan, develop and manage departmental expenses and capital budgets.
  • Develop strong partnerships with peer leaders, operations team members, and other functional key connections.

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years managing projects & teams within the warehouse and logistics scope
  • BS degree in Business, Engineering or Operations management.
  • Proven experience in developing high performing teams.
  • Experience in Managing Transportation Suppliers or Third Parties.
  • Experience in managing inbound and outbound transportation.
  • Ability to speak French and Spanish a plus
  • Requires 15%+ travel

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical requirements commensurate with an office environment and periodic domestic and global travel.
