Role Summary

As Plant Manager, you will serve as the pivotal force driving leadership excellence within the organization. You will provide visionary guidance and strategic direction, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high-performance among diverse teams. The Plant Manager is responsible for managing all activities within a single plant including production, quality, logistics, technical service, HSE and maintenance. You will contribute to, and execute functional strategy. 

Main Tasks

Strategic Vision and Planning:

  • Develop and articulate a compelling vision for the organization, aligning it with long-term strategic goal
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive business plans that ensure sustainable growth and competitive advantage
  • Understand and execute functional strategies for all PSOs

Leadership Development:

  • Cultivate a leadership pipeline by identifying, nurturing, and developing high-potential individuals within the organization
  • Implement robust leadership training programs to enhance managerial skills, foster innovation, and promote a culture of continuous learning

Team Empowerment and Engagement:

  • Empower and inspire teams by providing clear direction, fostering a collaborative environment, and encouraging ownership of responsibilities, even with colleagues with whom you have no formal direct influence
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives that enhance job satisfaction, productivity, and overall well-being

Organizational Culture:

  • Shape, reinforce and role model a positive organizational culture that aligns with our values and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Instill a sense of pride and purpose among employees, creating an environment where individuals are motivated to contribute their best

Change Management:

  • Lead organizational change initiatives with agility and resilience, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining employee morale throughout the process

Stakeholder Relations: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors, to drive business growth and sustainability
  • Represent the organization externally, serving as a thought leader and ambassador for our mission and values

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization, ensuring robust risk management practices are in place
  • Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior at all levels

Plant Management:

  • Establish the operating budget, approve investments and monitor the cost and effectiveness of the production activities (e. g., controlling cost and capex)
  • Drive continuous improvement activities, implement and sustain production basics to achieve the required benchmarking results in safety, quality, delivery and cost incl. inventory
  • Sustain and implement a Quality Management System by developing and enforcing local quality assurance strategies and implement appropriate procedure and measures for quality control
  • Ensure efficient logistics operations including logistics planning, transport logistics and production logistics
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all technical equipment in the plant to facilitate a smooth production process
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory HSE standards to protect employees and environment
  • Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed 

Your Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in Business Administration, Economics, Sciences, Industrial Engineering or a related field

Experience:

  • 5 years relevant experience in the role of manufacturing plant management
  • Experience managing cross functional projects, multi-cultural environments
  • Extensive experience in leading and developing teams
  • Experience in continuous Improvement concepts i.e. Lean and Pull flow
