Your New Role
The Investments Group continues to grow and has recently adopted several new platforms, predominantly a Portfolio Management System to manage the Fund’s unlisted assets (Infrastructure, Property, Private Credit, and Private Equity). The systems adopted by the Fund are a combination Standards & Poor, iLevel and Wall Street Office.
The Business Lead – Investments Platform Adoption role is designed to be a central point of accountability for these new unlisted platforms within the Investments Group.
This is a 12-month contract role based in Melbourne or Sydney.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for domain knowledge and access to business expertise/resources;
- Maintaining visibility and oversight of all changes affecting the platforms and users, including delivery of enhancements and continuous improvement;
- Representing Investments Group in executing change, removing roadblocks, expediting decisions, and ensuring that requirements and solution design aligns with the Group’s strategic objectives;
- Preparing written materials and serving as the sole adviser to the Platforms Owner, Asset Class teams, and decision-making forums on overarching change matters such as architectural fit, access rights, onboarding and documentation;
- Representing platform decision-makers when delegated, articulating and advocating their vision for platform implementation and operation.
What You’ll Need
- SME knowledge with demonstrated acumen & experience in unlisted portfolio models;
- Sound understanding of / experience in the Superannuation Industry and the regulatory environment in which it operates;
- Experience working with unlisted asset tools and systems;
- Experience with financial aspects of platform management including managing budgets and calculating costs vs. return on investment;
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging customer insights to build and develop tailored, innovative and differentiated products and solutions;
- Combination of technical aptitude / judgement, commercial acumen and product management skills;
- Strong business planning and project management skills;
- Ability to synthesise and document complex (often technical) detail into meaningful and readily consumable information that helps inform decision making;
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and research skills, with a strong attention to detail and consideration of business impact;
- Ability to not only liaise with a range of staff, key stakeholders and service providers but influence them to drive change;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships across the business to drive product development and growth;
- Demonstrated negotiation and decision-making ability;
- Ability to balance competing needs and make decisions based on best outcomes for members;
- A tertiary qualification in investments, business, finance or technology, or commensurate experience.
