The successful applicant for this position will be responsible for efficiently and effectively addressing Powertrain emerging issues by leading a cross functional team on containment, root cause, and permanent solution activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be primary engineering point of contact for all Powertrain production and warranty issues.
• Lead meetings and action registers for containment and root cause activities.
• Create issue summaries and communicate up to Polaris leadership.
• Lead and Present topics to Safety and Quality Review Board.
• Work with suppliers and Polaris Manufacturing Teams to ensure that containment and rework activities are executed with high quality and efficiency.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
• Experience working within a CAD controlled release system. PTC Windchill preferred.
• Experience with engine specific design or manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with technical document writing.
• Experience in design related processes such as: GD&T, FMEA, DVP&R, DRBFM, dimensional tolerance stack-ups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and aptitude for striking a balance between application of academic theory and engineering judgement.
• High level of people skills, able to work in global team environment.
• Microsoft software including Excel, Project, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multitask, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Fast-paced and collaborative office environment.
• Travel as needed (Typically less than 10%).
• Located in Plant (Osceola) or Development Center (Wyoming) depending on candidate proficiencies and desires.
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $90,000 to $119,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
